- A one-day Short Course on
Cryptography and Data Security, Thursday May 29,
featuring lectures by Ronald C. Mullin (ICR Data Encryption Group)
and Bruno Di Stefano (Nuptek Systems Ltd.).
- The Annual CAMS/SCMA Doctoral Dissertation Award Lecture.
- Contributed Papers and Poster Session, with a prize for
the best graduate student poster.
- Coordination with the 1997 Canadian Workshop on Information Theory,
to be held at
the Fields Institute, June 3-6, 1997.
- Computer Workstation Vendors Display and Publishers Display.
- Friday Reception at the Fields Institute and Saturday Banquet at the Art
Gallery of Ontario.
Call for Papers:
Contributed Papers are invited for presentation at the
18th Annual Meeting of the CAMS/SCMA, May 30 to
June 1, 1997. Papers in all areas of Applied Mathematics are welcome.
Abstracts of Contributed Papers (including Title, Author,
Affiliation and brief description) should
be submitted by April 30, 1997, either electronically (Latex
preferred) to
cams97@fields.utoronto.ca, or by mail to Dr. A. T. Lawniczak, Chair,
Scientific Program
Committee, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of
Guelph, Guelph, ON, N1G
2W1. All contributions will be reviewed by the Scientific Program
Committee for presentation.
Contributed Papers will be presented as either a Lecture Session
or a Poster Session format. A
prize will be awarded for the best Graduate Student Poster. Authors
should state their preference
of format; however, the Scientific Program Committee reserves the
right to make the final assignment of session.
